The program was over capacity due to assistant license being expired and not approved to care for children. Provider was over capacity with 10 children in the home. Licensor discussed that moving forward there will need to be a plan in place to have less children scheduled or another licensed assistant available. Educator agreed that she will fix her schedule accordingly and only care for 6 plus 2 ratio unless an approved assistant is present. Corrective action: I have added new assistant license.. Regulation: Licensed Capacity. Programs will be licensed for the maximum number of children who may be in the care of educators at any one time, taking into consideration the size and layout of the physical facility, the number and qualifications of educators, the equipment and resources available to the children, the individual needs and characteristics of the children served, and the building certificate capacity, if applicable.
