A child with an [redacted] had an expired medication consent form signed by the parent/guardian. Corrective action: paperwork was sent home with parent that afternoon of visit with EEC. paperwork was immediately sent home with parent and was reminded it needs to be updated every year, so when he goes for his yearly physical, she will make sure to have it updated. staff are to regularly check all prescriptions. will have a checklist available to document when they are being checked and when they are expiring.. Educators were knowledgeable about a child with an allergy and emergency medication prescribed, but the IHCP and medication consent forms were expired. Corrective action: staff was communicated to about making sure paperwork is up to date Educators were asked to retake The 5 Rights of Medication Training. Reminders will be sent home at least a month before they expire to eliminate this from happening again.. Regulation: Individual Health Care Plans The licensee must maintain as part of a child’s record, an individual health care plan for each child with a chronic medical condition, which has been diagnosed by a licensed health care practitioner. The plan must describe the chronic condition, its symptoms, any medical treatment that may be necessary while the child is in care, the potential side effects of that treatment, and the potential consequences to the child’s health if the treatment is not administered. 7.07(02), 7.07(03), 7.07(16)(b) — Physical Space (Indoor & Outdoor)

The building inspection and fire inspection were expired. The Director reported they had to finish all construction onsite before the inspectors would do an inspection. The construction is now complete and visits will be scheduled. The programs IPM plan is expired. Corrective action: on December 20, 2024 the Fire Department came and did our annual Building Inspection, we are now waiting to get the paperwork back from them, when it is received it will be forwarded over. IPM Plan, I have sent over to [redacted] for information that needs to be put into the system to re-register our IPM Plan.. Regulation: Building Inspection. Every program that is not located in a residence and every program that has a licensed capacity of more than 10 children must provide a certificate of inspection from the Department of Public Safety or the local building inspector certifying that the facility complies with the State Building Code (780 CMR).
