The location of the programs Health Care Policy was not posted on the day of the visit. Corrective action: All required postings have been updated and displayed on the parent board. Moving forward, these boards will be maintained by Center Directors and monitored monthly by the Regional Director to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance.. 7.10(05)(d), 7.10(05)(f) — Care of Children

Observation of preschool rooms during naps time revealed some children were napping in areas of the rooms that were not within view of Educators. Corrective action: Teachers have repositioned children within the classroom to ensure continuous visibility at all times. The Center Director will monitor classroom practices to ensure ongoing compliance with supervision requirements.. The posted allergy list in Preschool 2 was not updated on the day of the visit. Corrective action: The interim Director had not updated these documents prior to the visit. 7.07(01), 7.11(07)(h) — Emergency Preparedness

The program did not have evidence of monthly emergency evacuation drills since 10/4/2024. Corrective action: The fire drill logbook has been located, and required fire drills have been scheduled and completed. Moving forward, the Regional Director will issue monthly reminders to all centers to conduct fire drills and will verify completion during routine monitoring visits to ensure ongoing compliance.. Regulation: The licensee must ensure that the physical facilities are safe, clean, in good repair and free from hazards and clutter. The licensee must monitor the environment daily to identify and remove or repair any hazards that may cause injury to children. Exits and evacuation routes must be kept clear of obstructions., The educator must hold practice evacuation drills with all groups of children and all educators from each floor level of the approved space at least monthly. Drills must be held during different times of the program day, and must use alternative exits. There was no evidence to show that two Educators hold current first aid certifications. Corrective action: Currently all staff files have been updated and several staff in the building hold CPR & First Aid. The new staff will be completing the class at the end of the month. We offer these classes 2 times a years so that all of our staff is certified. Moving forward all First Aid & CPR cards will be copied right away and placed in the staff files.. All educators must obtain within six months of employment, and must maintain thereafter current certification of training in basic first aid appropriate to the population served., First Aid Training. The attendance records for Toddler Room 5 and the Infant Room did not include one child, in each room, who were in attendance. Corrective action: Reminder was said to all staff about importance of accurate attendance sheets. Director will be monitoring attendance sheets throughout the day. Director reported that the posted staff schedule was not current on the day of the visit. Corrective action: Current staff schedule was updated with new staff and posted.. On the day of the visit the posted Fire inspection expired on 2/7/25. Corrective action: Currently working with Fire department to obtain an updated Fire inspection. Every program that is not located in a residence and every program that has a licensed capacity of more than 10 children must provide a certificate of inspection from the Department of Public Safety or the local building inspector certifying that the facility complies with the State Building Code (780 CMR). On the day of the visit the posted health inspection/food permit had an expiration date of 2/28/25.
