7.07(13) — Curriculum and Activities
Electrical fans were accessible to the children at the time of the visit. Corrective action: The electrical fans have been unplugged and the cords have been secured safely. The fans belong to the school but we will not use the fans when the ASAC Program is in session. The director will plan to meet with Director of Building Maintenance in the upcoming months to determine if it will be possible to have the fans mounted high on the wall and out of the children's reach.. Regulation: Safety Requirements for Equipment, Materials and Furnishings. The licensee must only use indoor and outdoor equipment, materials, furnishings, toys, and games that are appropriate to the ages, needs and developmental level of the children enrolled. They must be sturdy, safely constructed and installed, non-tippable, flame retardant, easily cleaned, and free from lead paint, protruding nails, rust, and other hazards that may be dangerous to children.
