At the time of the visit, the licensor observed that in the infant/toddler classroom, washed bibs were hung to dry on the faucet of the diapering handwashing sink. Additionally, there was a tray with tableware and dishes placed nearby. The licensor discussed that sinks designated for handwashing—particularly those used after diapering—must be kept separate from areas used for food preparation and serving. Corrective action: We will make four corrections to avoid this finding to reoccur. The First correction was to create a memo for all staff of the findings. The staff was trained in this regulation in the past and we had purchase where the washed bibs should be placed. Second, there was a post created, the sink designated for diapering hand-washing must be separate from food preparation and serving and will be placed above the diapering hand-washing sink. Third, the findings and the policy will be reviewed and staff re-trained in the next employee meeting.
