The program did not have non-prescription medication for one child as required on the child's Individual Health Care Plan. Corrective action: The non-prescription medication has been obtained from the parent and is kept with the youth's other prescribed medications. During the enrollment process going forward, the Site Coordinator will review the Individual Health Care Plans to ensure that the program receives all required medications before the child begins. The Program Administrator will provide oversight of the enrollment process.. Regulation: All prescription medications must be in the containers in which they were originally dispensed and with their original labels affixed. Over-the-counter medications must be in the original manufacturers packaging., Unless otherwise specified in a childs individual health care plan, the educator must store all medications out of the reach of children and under proper conditions for sanitation, preservation, security and safety during the time the children are in care and during the transportation of children. Corrective action: Scheduled attendance checks will be conducted at specific times, such as before and after meal breaks, to ensure accuracy. Clear communication protocols will also be established between classroom instructors and cafeteria staff to keep track of student movements. Training will be conducted to all staff on the importance of accurate attendance tracking and the procedures to follow..
