Files reviewed did not contain evidence of current First Aid training. Corrective action: The Interim HR Admin has been working with each director to ensure their respective employees' file is in compliance with EEC & BGCA. We are working with Cintas to receive the certification of employee who already did their training. Also, we are working with them to schedule training for our 4/17 PD. We expect all employee files to be in compliance by our 4/17/25 PD; however, if we are unable to schedule the training for 4/17 we will communicate the date of the training to our regulators.. All educators must obtain within six months of employment, and must maintain thereafter current certification of training in basic first aid appropriate to the population served., First Aid Training. During a review of children's files at least one child's file did not have evidence of a current physical. Corrective action: The onboarding process and the membership renewal process for all members will belong to the Membership Department going forward. The Director of Operations will be responsible for quarterly internal audits of member files using the EEC checklist. This is a part of our restructuring. The dept will be renamed to Family Services. Inaccurate attendance was noted in one early education class and one school age class. Corrective action: Pre-school: The teachers are required to record each child's attendance the moment the child walks into the room. The Director will be validating the attendance of the children @ lunch time on a daily basis. School Age: The attendance taking process is being updated. The responsibility for taking the children's attendance will belong to the After School Dept. vs the Receptionists. A YDP or the director will be present in the lobby to record each child's attendance as he/she walks through the door. Each child must check in with the YDP or director in the lobby before going through the doors leading to the club room. The change management process began on Tuesday 5/25. This change will be in fully implemented on 4/21/25 following our PD on 4/17/25.. During the classroom observations it was noted that in one room there was lots of clutter on top of the quiet cube. The clutter included, computer, lunch, phone, hanging cords, power strips, papers, toys, water bottles, and other miscellaneous items. Corrective action: The classrooms have been decluttered by the teachers with assistance from the Director of Buildings, Grounds & Transportation. He will be responsible for periodically inspecting the program rooms and reporting back the appropriate Director & the DOO on any findings. If there are any findings, the appropriate director will have 5 business days to resolve the issue.. Regulation: All play equipment, fences and structures must be free of entrapment hazards., The licensee must ensure that the physical facilities are safe, clean, in good repair and free from hazards and clutter. The licensee must monitor the environment daily to identify and remove or repair any hazards that may cause injury to children. Exits and evacuation routes must be kept clear of obstructions., Building Inspection. Every program that is not located in a residence and every program that has a licensed capacity of more than 10 children must provide a certificate of inspection from the Department of Public Safety or the local building inspector certifying that the facility complies with the State Building Code (780 CMR).
