At least one child's IHCP was expired during the medication review. Corrective action: Created a checklist for First Aid bag with IHCP signed forms with expiration dates. This checklist will be reviewed monthly during staff meetings and signed off by staff and director. Created a separate document with a list of children's names and their with medication(s), IHCP, and Medication consent forms with expiration dates. This document will be posted in the office and checked regularly to avoid any medications or medical documents becoming expired.. Regulation: Individual Health Care Plans The licensee must maintain as part of a child’s record, an individual health care plan for each child with a chronic medical condition, which has been diagnosed by a licensed health care practitioner. The plan must describe the chronic condition, its symptoms, any medical treatment that may be necessary while the child is in care, the potential side effects of that treatment, and the potential consequences to the child’s health if the treatment is not administered. The programs Building Inspection expired 10/24/2024. Corrective action: Building Inspection has been scheduled for 12/4/25 at 930a.m. Building inspection is scheduled through building owners. Several attempts were made to ensure building would be inspected in the proper timeline from center director. Director kept documentation of those inquiries. To ensure a reoccurrence does not happen, director with include executive director of the building owners in all communication attempts to ensure building inspections are completed before expiration dates.. Every program that is not located in a residence and every program that has a licensed capacity of more than 10 children must provide a certificate of inspection from the Department of Public Safety or the local building inspector certifying that the facility complies with the State Building Code (780 CMR).
