   7.11(10)(k), 7.11(13)(d)(03)(d), 7.11(13)(d)(03)(c) — Care of Children

   It was observed that bedding was not stored in a safe and sanitary manner. Sheets were on cots in two classrooms and touching one another. Corrective action: The sheets that were stacked on the cots in two of the classrooms were corrected the day of the visit. Teachers numbered the cots, and assigned each child in the classroom to a number. They posted it in the classroom, above the mats.. Regulation: Personal items intended for individual use by children, including but not limited to bottles, pacifiers, toothbrushes and sleeping materials, must be labeled with the name of the child for whom they are intended., ensure safe and sanitary storage of blankets and bed linens., provide sleeping materials that are individually marked and in good repair and clean; and Cited during: Renewal - Full Review Visit.    7.07(13) — Curriculum and Activities

   During an inspection of the outdoor space, it was found that the climber and metal vehicle on the preschool/school age playground has rust. 7.07(13) Safety Requirements for Equipment, Materials and Furnishings. The licensee must only use indoor and outdoor equipment, materials, furnishings, toys, and games that are appropriate to the ages, needs and developmental level of the children enrolled. They must be sturdy, safely constructed and installed, non-tippable, flame retardant, easily cleaned, and free from lead paint, protruding nails, rust, and other hazards that may be dangerous to children. Corrective action: We have purchased rust converter paint for metals/rust conversion paint. We will apply this to the parts of our playground that is starting to rust. Our maintenance guy is waiting for a stretch of dry weather to apply the paint. We hope to have this done in the next few weeks..    7.11(02)(e), 7.11(02)(c) — Health

   During an inspection of children's emergency medications, it was found that a child's asthma inhaler is expired. Corrective action: We notified the parents of the expired inhaler the day of the visit. We received the new inhaler on Friday, 5/23/25.. Regulation: Unless otherwise specified in a child’s individual health care plan, the educator must store all medications out of the reach of children and under proper conditions for sanitation, preservation, security and safety during the time the children are in care and during the transportation of children., All prescription medications must be in the containers in which they were originally dispensed and with their original labels affixed.
