The indoor space contained hazards; a toy shelf in the Blue Jays Room and dramatic play furniture in the Doves Room were not sturdy and tippable. Corrective action: The toy shelf was secured to a large double sided shelf to make it stable in the Blue Jay Room. The toy refridgerator was removed from the classroom the day of the licensing visit. If we use it again, it will be bolted to another piece of furniture, a large shelf or the wall.. Regulation: Outdoor Space. The licensee must maintain, or have access to, an outdoor play area of at least 75 square feet per child who is outside at any one time., Indoor Space. The indoor space must be clean, safely maintained, well-ventilated and well-lit, of sufficient size for the children served, and must encourage play and learning. Cited during: Monitoring Visit.
