K.A.R. 28-4-592 Safety and emergency procedures; reporting requirements. (c) (1) Each operator shall ensure that there is at least one staff member on the premises who is readily available to each child or youth at all times and who has a current certification in first aid and a current certification in CPR appropriate to the age of children and youth attending the program.

K.A.R. 28-4-582 Administration; training; recordkeeping. (e) (2) Each operator shall obtain written authorization for emergency medical care, signed by the parent or legal guardian of each child or youth, before attending the program or within the first week of attendance.

K.A.R. 28-4-590 Health-related requirements. (b) (4) Each operator and each staff member who has regular, ongoing contact with children or youth shall attest to that individual's health status on a form supplied by the department or approved by the secretary. The health status form shall indicate if the individual has been exposed to an active case of tuberculosis or has been diagnosed with suspect or confirmed active tuberculosis. Each individual shall update the health status form annually or more often if there is a change in the health status or if the individual has been exposed to an active case of tuberculosis.

K.A.R. 28-4-585 Building and outdoor premises. (a) (6) Each operator shall safely store toxic substances and materials, including cleaning supplies, pesticides, and poisons, in a locked janitor's closet, locked room, or other locked area. No child or youth shall have unsupervised access to toxic substances and materials.

There was Promaster absorber and cleaning supplies in an unlocked cabinet. There were 4 cans of shaving cream in an unlocked closet. This was all corrected while I was present. (Licensing survey — Annual Survey — 24-005776)
