K.A.R. 28-4-430 Health practices; illness and abuse; general health requirements for staff. (a) (1) Each medical record shall include the results of a health assessment conducted not more than twelve months before and obtained not later than 60 calendar days after the child's initial enrollment in a child care facility. The assessment shall be conducted by a licensed physician, a physician assistant, or by a nurse approved to perform health assessments.

(c) (10) Each pad used for napping and sleeping shall be at least 0.5 inch thick, washable or enclosed in a washable cover, and long enough so that the child's head and feet rest on the pad. Clean, individual bedding, including a bottom and a top cover, shall be provided for each child.
