The health department confirmed that a staff member is regularly on the premise and transports children to school without a DHW background check. Additionally, the provider admitted to using her knuckles on a child's head as a form of behavior & discipline management. Resolution: The staff member without proper clearances was told they could not return to the facility without proper clearances. The provider shared that the "knucking" was a previous issue and has made an effort to stop the habit.
