Substantiated incident: Discipline and Behavior Concerns (Health and Safety)
There were concerns an employee was inappropriately disciplining children at naptime. After reviewing classroom footage, it was verified an employee forcefully held a child's head and body onto their cot while also restraining another child on their cot with her leg. Resolution: The child care director was notified of the incident from parent who was watching the live footage. The director had the employee removed from the classroom immediately and terminated the same day. This provider notified 2-1-1 and law enforcement to self report the incident at the facility. Additionally, an all- staff meeting was held to review the facility's policies and procedures. Source: Idaho Child Care Check (DHW) substantiated incident report.
