HCAP's staff that are not assigned to the school are placed on Kunia I & II staff listing along with family advocates and other non-caregiving employee's. A total of 108 employees are associated to Kunia II. The required employment history clearances for each staff needs to be determined. 5 staff members have expired clearances. Annual criminal history checks need to be completed for the 5 staff

Facility is currently closed for summer break. An inspection of the facility needs to be completed. Correction: Completed visit on 10/17/25

On 10/24/2024, the worker made an "off-year" visit to Kunia I and Kunia II. The preschool has 7 classrooms, presently only 3 classrooms are being utilized. The Kunia II classroom is currently closed due to no enrollment therefore an inspection cannot be completed without children in care. The facility has recently undergone renovations to Kunia I, Kunia II and to the bathrooms. At the time of the visit the worker observed the classroom, 2 playgrounds, restrooms, handwashing stations, and went over the licensing requirements with the lead teacher. On 10/1/2024, the worker verified health records for the children at the Waipahu office.
