All child care personnel who completed DCF training did not complete additional DEL-approved health and safety training by required date. (Section 3.2.A.1. and 3.2.C Training Requirements, Page 7) [SR] Comments: Licensing Specialist when reviewing the child care personnel file, noticed that the child care personnel does not complete the additional DEL-approved health and safety training. Licensing Specialist extend the time frame to complete the training due to the holidays. T.A. r School Readiness provider type may complete, the DCF-approved online or in-person child care training courses as evidenced by successful completion of the competency examination offered by DCF or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Information on training course access and availability can be found on the Department of Children and Families website at www.myflfamilies.com/childcare or by contacting the DCF Child Care Training Information Center toll free at 1-888-352-2842. These courses include: Health, Safety and Nutrition: Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect; Child Growth and Development; Behavioral Observation and Screening. Additionally, providers who completed this DCF training on or before December 31, 2023, must also complete these DEL-approved health and safety modules within 180 days or by June 30, 2024: Health and Nutrition in the School Readiness Program and Safety Practices in the School Readiness Program.
