FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.5, B (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the toilet handle was broken on the toilet located in the bathroom that the children use, therefore it was unable to flush. The Provider advised that the children had broken the toilet handle before Licensing Specialist arrived. Provider contacted a plumber to fix the toilet. Licensing Specialist observed that the toilet handle had been repaired, and the toilet was in good repair. This standard was brought back into compliance during the time of inspection. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 6, G, H, I, L Large Family [SR] Comments: During the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that a 3-month-old infant was left alone inside the home in an infant chair while provider was outdoors with 7 other children (one year through four years) having lunch. Licensing Specialist observed Provider enter the home, pick infant up and bring her outside with the rest of the children. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, section 6 Supervision A. The operator shall remain responsible for the supervision of the children in care and capable of responding to emergencies and the needs of the children at all times. Child care personnel must directly supervise children, both indoors and outdoors, by sight and sound. Children must never be left without child care personnel supervision inside or outside the home, in a vehicle, or at a field trip location by themselves.
