08. Staff Training FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 5 (08-06)
A substitute for the employee, who worked less than 40 hours a month on average, did not complete the department's 6 clock-hour Family Child Care Rules and Regulation course (or have documentation of completion of the 3 clockhour Fundamentals of Child Care Home Rules course.) as evidenced by the Departments training transcript. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 5.1.2, A and B Comments: Director admits that Person B helps with the children but is not fully trained yet. Person B is missing the 6 hour Family Child Care Rules and Regulation exam but has already made the appointment for the exam. Compliance Comments Supervision was adequate in that an infant was napping in the room while the teacher was in the dining area/kitchen and covered lanai and still able to supervise via sound and frequent visual checks as needed.
