30. Emergency Plan and Numbers (Article VIII.A) (30-01)
The home failed to have a complete listing of emergency information posted by or on each phone. Information in letter(s) as follows was not posted: [emergency telephone numbers ] 1. Fire 2. Police 3. Poison control center 4. Ambulance 5. Florida Abuse Registry 6. Palm Beach County Health Department 7. The address of and directions to the family day care home Safety/Health [SR] Comments: During the FCCH routine inspection, the inspector did not observe the emergency numbers posted on the walls within the classroom. Technical Assistance was provided to the provider by reminding/explaining to them that they need to have the emergency numbers, evacuation route, fire drill log, and emergency preparedness plan posted on a wall within the classroom. The provider posted the emergency numbers on the wall of the classroom during the inspection. It was also observed during the FCCH routine inspection, that the fire extinguisher maintenance sticker/tag was expired. It expired in August of 2025. Technical Assistance was provided to the provider by explaining to them that they need to get their fire extinguisher serviced/maintained, and that the service is either good for 6 or 12 months. Compliance Comments At the time of this FCCH routine inspection, the play equipment was observed to be sanitary, clean, properly secured, and safe for the children to play on.
