Technical Assistance was provided when the inspector explained to the provider that they need to perform an emergency preparedness drill at least once a year and write it down on the emergency preparedness drill records. 31. A resilient surface was not provided beneath and within the fall zone for [fall zone not 6 feet from the base of the children's slide. ]. (Section 9.8, number 2) Safety/Health [SR] Comments: During the FCCH routine inspection, the fall zone at the base of the slide was not observed to be 6 feet around it. Technical Assistance was given to the provider by explaining to them that the fall zone at the base of the childrens slide needs to be 6 feet out/around from the bottom of the slide. While there is mulch observed at the bottom of the slide, it is not adequate distance from the bottom of the slide. Provider stated that she will have more mulch added to the base of the slide. Compliance Comments This standard was observed and found to be in compliance during this FCCH routine inspeciton. 32.
