Indoor play areas in the home were not clean and free from litter, nails, glass, and other hazards. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.5, B Comments: Licensing Specialist observed multiple items on the floor, car seat, trash cans, trash bags, etc. These items were posing a tripping hazard. TA was provided: Licensing Specialist discussed requirement with the provider. The area must be cleared and free from any hazards. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.5 Indoor Play Areas A. Operators must promote developmentally appropriate active play for all children, including infants and toddlers, every day. B. All areas of the home including the play areas shall be in good repair, clean and free from litter, nails, glass, and other hazards. C. Strings and cords long enough to encircle a childs neck, such as those on toys and window coverings, shall not be accessible to children. D. Non-prescription medication not brought in by the custodial parent or legal guardian, specifically [Distin and Diaper paste], was dispensed for emergency purposes without written authorization. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.24, F Comments: Licensing Specialist observed that there were 2 diaper creams (Destin and Diaper rash paste) placed in the diaper changing area upon asking for the authorization form, provider informed Licensing Specialist that she does not have one. TA was provided: Licensing Specialist discussed requirement with the provider. Provider will send the authorization form for the above-mentioned OTC by given due date. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.24 F. In the event of an emergency, non-prescription medication that is not brought in by the custodial parent or legal guardian can be dispensed only if the operator has written authorization from the custodial parent or legal guardian to do so. Any medication dispensed under these conditions must be documented in the childs file and the custodial parent or legal guardian must be notified on the day of occurrence. CHILDREN'S RECORDS Compliance Comments TA: Licensing Specialist observed that the shot record for the child that was enrolled on 06/09/2025 expired on 08/11/2025, the child was absent for the day.
