A health and safety deficiency having a moderate potential for harm to the children in care was observed. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.5, B Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist observed a screwdriver lying on a table in the children's play area. A heater which was turned off was located on the floor of the play area. A leaf blower and extension cord were located at the front door entrance were children have to past through to get into home. Provider removed the screwdriver, heater, leaf blower and extension cord and put them out of reach of children. Outdoor play areas in the home were not free from litter, nails, glass, and other hazards. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.6, A Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the two nails were no longer protruding out of the bottom right corner of the wooden fence in the outdoor play area. During the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the fence in the backyard was unlocked that led to hazardous material (wood, debris, trash). Provider locked the gate preventing access during the time of inspection. Licensing Specialist observed a water hose stretched across entire play area which could cause a tripping hazard to the children. Provider removed the water hose and placed it out of reach of children during the time of inspection. Licensing Specialist observed sharp sticks and wires in outdoor play area. Provider removed the sticks and wires during the time of inspection. This standard was brought back into compliance during the time of inspection. During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the Provider lock the cabinet. Licensing Specialist observed exposed cords, gardening supplies such as cow manure, potting mix, fertilizer, plant food in the outdoor area where children walk through to enter into the home.
