Indoor play areas were not in good repair. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.5, B (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed a kitchen cabinet is missing the side and cabinet door. the baseboards around the daycare entry way are missing, leaving exposed metal, peeling paint, and drywall. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the FDCH Handbook:B. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.6, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed cracks and missing pieces in the white fencing which leave sharp plastic edges within childrens reach. there is a broken window where the glass is coming out of the window itself, and the door frame around the exit door of the daycare has rotted wood at the bottoms which has left exposed sharp pieces of wood framing. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the FDCH Handbook:A. Outdoor Play areas shall be clean, in good repair and free from litter, nails, glass, and other hazards. Compliance Comments During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the swimming pool water was clean/clear, and that the Operator had appropriate barriers in place to prevent the children that are in care from gaining access to the swimming pool. During the inspection, the Operator advised the Licensing Specialist that the swimming pool is not utilized for the children that are in care. 15. The swimming pool fence or barrier was unlocked or had gaps or openings that could pose a threat to the health, safety or well- being of a child. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.7, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the swimming pool water was clean/clear. During the inspection, the Operator advised the Licensing Specialist that the swimming pool is not utilized for the children that are in care. The barrier fence met the 4-foot height requirement however, the gaps in between the slats of the fencing were 3.75 inches apart. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the FDCH Handbook: A. All in-ground swimming pools and above-ground swimming pools more than one-foot deep shall have either a fence or barrier on all four sides, at a minimum of four feet in height, separating the home from the swimming pool, or a pool alarm that is operable at all times when children are in care. The fence or barrier shall not have any gaps or openings that would allow a young child to crawl under, squeeze through, or climb up the barrier." 16.
