The home did not maintain documentation that the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of each child were provided information detailing the causes, symptoms, and transmission of the influenza virus annually during the months of August through September in that [a parent or guardian has not signed Influenza brochure in childs file.]. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 8.3, E Comments: During the inspection of the children files 1 child did not have an Influenza brochure signed by parent or guardians. According to FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 8.3, E Annually, during the months of August and September, the home must provide parents/guardians with information detailing the causes, symptoms, and transmission of the influenza virus. To assist providers, the Department developed a brochure, CF 175-70, June 2009, Influenza Virus, Guide to Parents, incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(n), F.A.C., which may be obtained from the Departments website at www.myflfamilies.com/childcare.
