   Toxic Substances and/or Hazardous materials including cleaning supplies, flammable products, and poisonous items were accessible to children in care. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.2 Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the bathroom sink cabinet was unlocked which contained items such as perfumes and lotion as well as hair care items observed on back of toilet. All items should be kept out of reach of children per manufacturing instructions. Also Observed baby gate for the daycare room was not shut and the gate to the kitchen was not up while kids in care, Left the kitchen accessible to children in care.During the time of inspection this has been resolved by the operator locking all chemicals in the cabinet. Provider placed gate up in kitchen and closed gate to daycare room.During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the FDCH LFCCH Handbook: A. All areas and surfaces accessible to children shall be free from toxic substances and hazardous materials/equipment/tools, including power tools, plastic bags, matches, candles, lighters, etc. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, BB guns, pellet guns and other potentially dangerous hazards, shall either be stored and in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach. B. All potentially harmful items including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. C. Narcotics, alcohol, or other impairing drugs/paraphernalia must be kept inaccessible to children at all times. D. Cleaning must not take place while rooms are occupied by children except for general clean-up activities that are part of the daily routine. General cleaning refers to cleaning necessary to maintain a sanitary environment but that does not pose a hazard to children, such as wiping the table after lunch, soaking toys in a tub on the countertop, sweeping.    Toys, equipment and/or furnishings were not safe in that [Toy cracked and missing parts].FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.10, C Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the playhouse with the green roof on the outdoor play area was cracked on top, A tricycle was missing both pedals leaving exposed rusted metal bars on both sides.During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the FDCH LFCCH Handbook: C. Toys, equipment, and furnishings must be safe and maintained in a sanitary condition. The program must follow a routine schedule of cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting toys, equipment, and furnishings. These items must be cleaned and sanitized or disinfected immediately or prior to another childs use if exposed to bodily fluids, such as saliva. Homes must have a written routine schedule for cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting equipment, materials, furnishings, and play areas. This schedule must include items to be cleaned, sanitized or disinfected on a daily or weekly basis. Daily indoor equipment items include but are not limited to: counter/table tops, toys, floors, diaper pails, toilets, and sinks. Weekly indoor equipment items include but are not limited to: linens, machine washable cloth toys, play activity centers, dress-up clothes, cribs, mats, and cots. Compliance Comments During the inspection, the smoke detector was tested and was operational. The ?re extinguisher certi?cation is valid until 06/2026. During the inspection, the Operator had an operational corded phone. 19.
