Children in the outdoor play area were not adequately supervised in that [the child was left outside on the patio has he cried by the classroom para professional]. CCF Handbook, Section 2.4.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) General Requirements [SR] Comments: Upon arrival at the facility, I was escorted by the registrar to the VPK classroom. At that time, I observed a paraprofessional exit the classroom with a little boy crying and left the little young boy alone outside the classroom door on the patio. I remained in place to ensure the child was supervised, noting that the classroom door remained closed. This was corrected at the time of inspection. I waited until the paraprofessional returned outside with the other children and joined the child who had been left unsupervised. Technical assistance: Para advised not to leave children unsupervised at any time. Not Applicable Comments The facility does not provide transportation services.
