Equipment in the outdoor space needs repair. (Section 2.1(A) Health and Safety, Page 3) Indoor/Outdoor Space [SR] Comments: The bottom of the wood post holding the canopy shade area is in disrepair and needs to be repaired or replaced. The bottom of the post has jagged and sharp areas that pose a safety hazard to the children. Before the children can use this area, this needs to be needs to be repaired or replaced. 23.     3.1(A), Handbook: All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. An area(s) of the facility was observed to not be in good repair. Facility/Storage [SR] Comments: Complaint alleges that the air conditioner on the left side of the building is not working and this has been going on for months. Findings: A complaint inspection was conducted on July 31st and a statement was received from the Director (WJ). A walk through was conducted during the investigation and the following classroom were affected ; afterschool, threes and twos. The classrooms were occupied by children and the use of portable ac units and fans were observed. Temperatures were taken and each of the observed classrooms and it ranged from 80.3 degrees to 81.9 degrees. Per Director, the ac is broken and being replaced.
