3.1(G), Handbook: Cleaning must not take place while rooms are occupied by children except for general clean-up activities that are part of the daily routine. General cleaning refers to cleaning necessary to maintain a sanitary environment but that does not pose a hazard to children, such as wiping the table after lunch, soaking toys in a tub on the countertop, or sweeping. This does not include cleaning with hazardous materials or any cleaning which poses a risk of slipping or falling. Cleaning (other than general clean-up activities) of a room took place while children were present in the room. Facility/Storage [SR] Comments: At the time of inspection, licensing monitor observed cleaning agents being used while children are present -Mopping took place while children were on site. This practice presents the risk of slip and fall and, it was identified by the personnel as "Fabuloso." In addition, unlabeled spray bottles were observed in the 1yr old and 2yr old classrooms. Labels were added at time of inspection. • Provider is advised to prepare all bottles each morning and ensure proper dilution of bleach (1/4 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water.) Sec. 7-45(b)(1), Ordinance: Vehicles must state the name of the child care facility on each side panel in six- to eight-inch letters. The back panel must have the wording Caution Transporting Children in a minimum of four-inch letters. The facilitys license number also must be printed on the side and back panels of the vehicle. The facility's vehicle(s) did not meet the requirement in that [the license number and facility name is missing.]. Comments: At the time of inspection, the vehicle registered to provide transportation does not have the facility name or license number on each side panel. The license number is not observed on the back panel. Vehicle (VIN 05422) Last INSPECTION 02/18/2024 Liability insurance exp 08/27/2024 Vehicle (VIN 11156) is out for repair and removed from service.
