2.8 (B), Handbook: The child care facility operators, employees, and volunteers must comply with written disciplinary and expulsion policies. Child care personnel did not comply with the facility's written disciplinary policy. Ratios/Discipline [SR] Comments: Complaint alleges that child(4y/o) had a bruise behind her ear, when asked what happened, she stated her teacher hit her. The teacher denied the allegations. FINDINGS: A complaint inspection was conducted on 4/28/2025 and a statement from the assistant director and video footage of afternoon time in the classroom and playground was reviewed. The assistant director stated that she and the mother watched the video cameras together to see if anything happened to the child on the date in question from drop off time till naptime. She stated that they did not see anything until naptime. The teacher was seem putting her hand on the child's back to lay her down and parent may have gotten upset. Video of naptime incident: The teacher observed tapping the child's butt a couple times. Then the child stood up, the teacher fixed her sheet and pushed her head forward to guide her to lay down. Video footage of afternoon: The child was observed playing in the playground with other children. No incident observed. Also, the child observed playing in the classroom after playground time and no incident observed. This complaint is unsubstantiated but a non-compliance is being issued for the teacher's interaction with the child. FACILITY/STORAGE 10.
