The wall in the [3 & 4 yr ] room was not in good repair as evidenced by [peeling paint ]. (Section 10, number 1) Physical Facility [SR] Comments: During the facility inspection, multiple instances of peeling paint were observed on the walls of the 3&4-year-old room, creating potential safety hazards including paint chip ingestion risks, lead exposure concerns if older paint is present, and compromising the integrity of classroom surfaces. Technical assistance was provided to facility staff regarding proper facility maintenance standards and the importance of maintaining classroom surfaces in good repair. The facility shall repair all instances of peeling paint on the walls of the 3&4-year-old room to eliminate potential safety hazards and maintain proper facility conditions for children in care. 16.
