The child care staff failed to comply with the facilitys written policy as evidenced by [Video shows, the teacher put the child outside from the back door and closed the door. ]. General Requirements [SR] Comments: Video shows, the teacher aggressively taking the child from the cot and putting the child outside the facility using an exit door located in the classroom. The teacher then closed the door leaving the child alone. Paragraph 3&5 of the Policy Guidance can be read as follows: Discipline in our Montessori environment is not something that is done nor is it a technique for controlling behavior. Our concern is with the development and practice of internal control which will enable a child to choose the correct behavior because it is the right for him or herself and is also right for the community he or her belong to. There will be no use of physical punishment or any acts where the child is made to feel humiliated ashamed. There will be no use of threats or yelling of any kind to any child in our care. If redirection is required it will be conducted on a one-one-one basis to reinforce the rule that.
