CCF Handbook, Section 7.5 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Record Keeping [SR] Comments: During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that two classrooms had not updated their rosters to reflect the current number of children present. The number of children observed did not match the roster count. CCF Handbook- Daily attendance of children must be taken and recorded accurately by the child care personnel, documenting the time when each child enters and departs the program. A. Attendance devices used for the purposes of tracking attendance may be used, but personnel must ensure the accuracy of the documented attendance. Each classroom must have an attendance sheet/class roster for the group of children occupying that space. Attendance sheet/class roster must accompany the child care personnel and the group of children throughout the day should they leave the classroom. B. The custodial parent or guardian may document the time when his/her child enters and departs the child care facility or program. However, child care facility personnel are responsible for ensuring that attendance records are complete and accurate.
