Areas of the facility were found to be in need of cleaning. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the After School Classroom and observed that the ceiling fans were dusty. During the time of the inspection, technical assistance was provided. According to the CCF Handbook, Section 3.1 A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. An area(s) of the facility was observed to not be in good repair. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored building #2 and observed that the ceiling tile in the bathroom above the A/C unit closet was broken. During the time of the inspection, technical assistance was provided. According to the CCF Handbook, Section 3.1 A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. 17. Outdoor Play Area/Fencing CCF Handbook, Section 3.5 [SR] (17-07)

The base of the fence in the outdoor play area was not at ground level and could allow inside or outside access by children or animals. CCF Handbook, Section 3.5, F (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the outdoor area/playground and observed that in the playground area #2, a small section of the base of the fence facing the parking lot was coming off the ground.During the time of the inspection, technical assistance was provided.According to the CCF Handbook, Section 3.5 F. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 ? inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. These areas must have at least two exits, with at least one being remote from the buildings. If an outdoor play area was approved for usage by the Department prior to October 25, 2017, no new exits are required to be added to meet this standard. The bedding available for children in care was not cleaned and/or sanitized at least once a week, and/or before use by another child. CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.1, G (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the VPK Classroom and observed that one of the childrens linens (blanket) was wet/soiled and left inside the closet over the weekend. During the time of the inspection, technical assistance was provided.According to the CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.1F. Linens, if used, must be washed at least once a week and more often if soiled or dirty. Linens used by more than one child must be washed in between usage. Linens must be provided when children are sleeping, and pillows and blankets must be available. For children under the age of one, please follow the requirements outlined in section 3.6.4. CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, D and K (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that in the Toddlers B classroom two of the children did not have an authorization form for diaper cream rash. According to the CCF Handbook, Section 6.5 Medication K. Use of diaper creams and insect repellant may only be utilized with written permission from parents/guardians.
