CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed stained ceiling tiles in the first girls bathroom and stained ceiling tiles in the second boys bathroom. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook:A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. The facilitys storage of harmful items including cleaning supplies, flammable products, and poisonous, toxic and hazardous materials allowed access by children in care. CCF Handbook, Section 3.2, B Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an unlocked storage closet which was accessible to children contained craft items such as industrial paper cutters. The Operator locked the closet during the time of the inspection. In room 108 the sink cabinet was unlocked and contained cleaning supplies sch as multipurpose sprays. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook:B. All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times. Fire drills conducted during the licensure year did not include the following [fire drill conducted in the presence of Licensing.]. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.4, C Comments: During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the Fire Drill Log and observed documentation of the last fire drill having been conducted on 2-4-26. The last approved fire inspection for this facility was dated 12-3-25. The fire extinguisher certifications are valid until 3-2026. During the time of the inspection, the facility was unable to conduct a fire drill in the presence of Licensing due to not having access to the alarm system information as it is kept with personnel who was not on-site during the time of the inspection. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook:C. A current attendance record and parent contact information must accompany child care personnel out of the building during a drill or actual evacuation and be used to account for all children. The operator must maintain a written record of the fire drills showing the date, number of children and child care personnel in attendance, evacuation route used, and time taken for all individuals to evacuate the premises. Each fire drill record must be maintained for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the fire drill. The fire drills conducted must include, at a minimum: 1. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route, 2. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times, and 3. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority. The Licensing Specialist observed three bottles of hand sanitizer and a fragrance spray in the VPK room within reach of the children in care. During the time of the inspection, this was resolved by the Operator removing the scissors, hand sanitizer and fragrance spray and placing them in a closet out of reach of the children in care.
