General Requirements [SR] Comments: FSCS observed 27 children, ages 1 to 4 years old, in one classroom with a single staff member present. The non-compliance was corrected at the time of the inspection when two additional staff members and the director arrived at the facility. The children were then divided into their assigned classrooms with their designated teachers. TA was given to director (In groups of mixed age ranges, where children one year of age but under two years of age are included, one child care personnel must be responsible for no more than six children of any age group, at all times.) Children were left in high chairs or other confining devices outside of feeding times. CCF Handbook, Section 2.4.4, B General Requirements [SR] Comments: FSCS observed five children seated in highchairs outside of the designated feeding time. The children were part of a group of 27 children supervised by one staff member. The non-compliance was corrected at the time of the inspection when two additional staff members arrived at the facility, and the children were taken to their assigned classrooms. TA was given to director (Children must not be left in high- chairs or other types of feeding chairs other than during feeding times. Harmful items including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials were accessible to children in care. CCF Handbook, Section 3.2, B Physical Environment [SR] Comments: FSCS observed multiple cans of Lysol spray placed throughout the center, including in classrooms and bathrooms. Additionally, a shelf located in the bathroom was observed storing various cleaning products. Technical assistance was provided to the director regarding the proper storage of cleaning supplies to ensure they are kept out of childrens reach (All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times.)
