The facility is licensed to serve [100] children. A total of [109] children were counted at the center and/or were on a field trip. CCF Handbook , Section 3.4.1, C (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Upon arrival to the facility, licensing specialist counted all the children in classrooms and coming in from the playground. A total of 109 children were counted, however facility has a capacity of 100. Per provider, since it is the last week of school, some parents brough in their children making them over capacity. Technical assistance was provided that The total number of children in care on-site and while on field trips may never exceed the facilitys licensed capacity. 9 children left and standard returned to compliance at time of inspection. Attendance records did not include the time of each childs arrival and departure. CCF Handbook, Section 7.5 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Record Keeping [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist reviewed attendance records in classroom and not all children present were logged in. In sign-in and sign-out book and Procare system, not all children were signed in including arrival time. Technical assistance was provided that Daily attendance of children must be taken and recorded accurately by the child care personnel, documenting the time when each child enters and departs the program. A. Attendance devices used for the purposes of tracking attendance may be used, but personnel must ensure the accuracy of the documented attendance. Each classroom must have an attendance sheet/class roster for the group of children occupying that space. Attendance sheet/class roster must accompany the child care personnel and the group of children throughout the day should they leave the classroom. 33. Training Requirements CCF Handbook, Section 4 (33-05)

Child Care personnel, who were not in compliance with training requirements when they left the industry, did not complete required training and any new mandated training before returning to the industry. CCF Handbook, Section 4.3, B Training [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist reviewed training transcript for one staff. The staff has not completed 40-hour introductory training and left the industry in 2018 without completing training. Technical assistance was provided in regard to Break-In Service: A. In the event an individual leaves the child care industry in compliance with training requirements and returns to the industry either at the same or a different child care facility, he or she will be given 90 days to comply with any new training requirements established during the gap in employment in the child care industry. B. In the event an individual leaves the child care industry not in compliance with the training requirements and returns to the industry either at the same or a different child care facility, he or she must comply with the training requirements described in this section, as well as any new training requirements that may have been added during the gap in employment in the child care industry prior to re-employment.
