46. Daily Attendance CCF Handbook, Section 7.5 (46-07)

The attendance roster did not accompany the group of children in that [the attendance logs for the 1-year and 2-years old classrooms were not in the classroom where the staff and children were].CCF Handbook, Section 7.5, A Record Keeping [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist requested to review attendance log for 1-year old and 2-year old classroom. The staff walked to another room through the bathroom (which connects two classrooms) and brought the logs to the room. Technical assistance was provided that Attendance devices used for the purposes of tracking attendance may be used, but personnel must ensure the accuracy of the documented attendance. Each classroom must have an attendance sheet/class roster for the group of children occupying that space. Attendance sheet/class roster must accompany the child care personnel and the group of children throughout the day should they leave the classroom. The staff returned to the classroom with attendance logs and the standard returned to compliance at time of inspection. Technical assistance was provided that The child care facility is responsible for obtaining for each child in care a current, complete and properly executed Florida Certification of Immunization form Part A-1, B, or C, DH 680, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001 (7)(o), F.A.C., or the Religious Exemption from Immunization form, DH 681, which is incorporated by reference in 65C22.001(7)(p), F.A.C., from the custodial parent or legal guardian. DH Form 680 and DH Form 681 may be obtained from the local county health department. The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist reviewed fire inspection and it has a Notice of Violation with 2 violations pending correction. Technical assistance was provided that To ensure the safety of children in care, facilities are required to receive yearly fire inspections by a certified fire inspector, and they must perform monthly drills/exercises to practice fire, inclement weather and lockdown procedures. A. Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A- 36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. Last fire drill was conducted on 3/5/2025. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route was done on 1/3/2025. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times has not been conducted during licensure year. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority has not been conducted during licensure year. One emergency LOCKDOWN drill was done on 1/3/2025. One emergency INCLEMENT WEATHER drill was done on 3/5/2025. Fire inspection conducted on 3/5/2025. Fire extinguisher serviced on 01/2025. As technical assistance, the licensing counselor requested that a Fire Drill be done in the presence of licensing authority, and the provider requested that the fire drill be done at the next scheduled inspection.
