General Requirements [SR] Comments: Licensing Specialist observed a 1 year old classroom with 8 children and 1 teacher. This standard was brought into compliance once two parents came to pick up their children. 2.3 Ratios The staff-to-child ratio, as established in Section 402.305(4), F.S., is based on primary responsibility for the direct supervision of children and applies at all times while children are in care. Infant observed in an infant seat (swing, bouncers, etc.) for a time greater than 30 minutes. CCF Handbook, Section 2.6, F General Requirements [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist observed an infant in a strapped in swing while sleeping for more that 30 minutes. This standard was brought into compliance once the licensing specialist told the teacher to wake up the child and move them to the crib and she did. 2.6 Planned ActivitiesF. Provide adequate time and space for infants, birth to 12 months, in care to engage inactivities that promote development of movement skills (tummy time, crawling, turningover, sitting, etc.). Infant seats (swings, bouncers, etc.) must be used only for shortperiods of time, no more than 15 to 30-minute intervals per infant and no more thantwo times per day that the child is in care. Infants in care shall be providedopportunities for outdoor time each day that weather permits. Not Applicable Comments Per provider, no field trips are provided to children in care. None observed.
