The written record of the fire drills was incomplete and did not include the following:[record of the conducted fire drill]. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.4, C Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist reviewed fire drill log and there were no fire drills conducted during November and December 2024. However, the staff had the activities calendar with the dates of the fire drill. The calendars did not include time, number of adults and children present, route, and date fire extinguisher checked. Technical assistance was provided that A current attendance record and parent contact information must accompany child care personnel out of the building during a drill or actual evacuation and be used to account for all children. The operator must maintain a written record of the fire drills showing the date, number of children and child care personnel in attendance, evacuation route used, and time taken for all individuals to evacuate the premises. Each fire drill record must be maintained for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the fire drill. The fire drills conducted must include, at a minimum: 1. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route, 2. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times, and 3. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority. This drill will be coordinated with the operator or designee. Provider filled out number of children based on attendance for that day. Last fire drill was conducted on 2/19/2025. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route has not been conducted during licensure year. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times has not been conducted during licensure year. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority has not been conducted during licensure year. One emergency LOCKDOWN drill has not been conducted during licensure year. One emergency INCLEMENT WEATHER drill has not been conducted during licensure year. Fire inspection conducted on 06/20/2024. Fire extinguisher serviced on 10/2024. As technical assistance, the licensing counselor requested that a Fire Drill be done in the presence of licensing authority, and the provider requested that the fire drill be done at the next scheduled inspection. The facilitys refrigerator and/or freezer does not have an appropriate thermometer. CCF Handbook, Section 3.9.2, F.1 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Food and Nutrition [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist observed the thermometers in the fridge and freezers. The thermometer in the freezer was missing a glass but was working correctly. There were three additional thermometers that were not working correctly. Licensing specialist placed three thermometers in the fridge and opened 15 mins later and the three temperatures were reading different temperatures. Licensing specialist placed own thermometer and the temperature was at 38 degrees, while the facility's thermometers read 41 (digital which was showing a blinking caution light), 22 and 16. Technical assistance was provided that An accurate thermometer designed to measure cold storage temperature must be placed inside each refrigeration and freezer unit. Thermometers in refrigerators must show a reading of 41 degrees Fahrenheit or below, and thermometers in freezers must show a reading of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below. The thermometer must be located in the center of the unit and be readily accessible. Thermometer temperature readings higher than specified above require further temperature testing of food samples stored in the unit using a probe type thermometer; and adjustments to the unit setting to reach and maintain the required readings must be made.
