33. Training Requirements CCF Handbook, Section 4 (33-07)

Child care personnel, including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month did not complete the required in-service training during the states fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30. CCF Handbook, Section 4.2.7 Comments: At the time of the inspection, the licensing specialist reviewed all staff files and observed the staff listed on the supplemental did not have documentation of completing the required 10-hour annual in-service hours for the fiscal year 2024 - 2025. Technical assistance was given to the provider to have the staff complete prior to the due date and log on the in-service form. The facility did not have documentation to show child care personnel had begun the introductory training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry. CCF Handbook, Section 4.1 Comments: At the time of the inspection, the licensing specialist reviewed all staff files and determined that the staff listed on the supplemental did not start the required DCF 40-hour training within 90 days of employment/industry start date. 23. Fire Drills & Emergency Preparedness CCF Handbook, Section 3.8 (23-02)

The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A Comments: At the time of the inspection, the facility failed to have the annual fire inspection completed on or before last year's date. The current year was completed on 4/9/24 and the prior year was completed on 1/10/23. Technical assistance was given to the provider as a reminder that an approved fire inspection must be completed on or before the prior year's date. The last fire drill was conducted on 11/18/24 and emergency preparedness drills were conducted on 11/6/24 (weather) and 2/21/24 (lockdown). The fire extinguisher(s) were last tagged in February 2024.
