A form of discipline used by child care personnel included the use of spanking or other form of physical punishment. CCF Handbook, Section 2.8, F.1 General Requirements [SR] Comments: Physical punishment was used on a child in the VPK-fours classroom by childcare personnel. The child was hit with a green wooden paddle with animal image on it on several occasions Facility's discipline policy states: consistent with Section402.305(12), F.S., including standards that prohibit children from being subjected to discipline, which is severe, humiliating, frightening, or associated with food, rest, or toileting.
