2026

  1. Medium-High riskStandard 601/27/2026

    60. Toxic Hazardous Materials (60-02)

Knives/sharp tools were observed within the reach of children as they were stored [in an unlocked shed by the courtyard outside]. Comments: Although the indoor/outdoor inspection log was signed, a shed with sharp lawn tools was unlocked. Staff locked the shed so that the children could not access it. Director states she will have a conversation with the people using the Center during the day, reminding them to lock the shed before they leave every day. Source: FL DCF CARES inspection 2026-01-27. 11. General Qualifications/Level II Screening/Background Screening (11-16)

Employment history check did not include all required information including applicants job title, description of regular duties confirmation of employment dates and level of job performance. Comments: One staff member's Employment History had gaps of time with no explanation. Please submit the entire Employment History including verifications. 2. Medium riskStandard 409/24/2025

    40. Adequate Fencing: VI. D. (40-05)

The base of the fence in the outdoor play area was not at ground level and could allow access by children or animals. Comments: There are areas of the fence surrounding the property that have substantial gaps between the bottom of the fence and the ground. This has been an on-going issue on the property, and the Director states that rain washes away the dirt they have piled in front of the gaps. There is a program that has agreed to remedy this issue for the site, and until that construction takes place, Director will line cement blocks in front of the gaps at the bottom of the fence line. Please contact Specialist when completed. Due: 10/8/2025 Source: FL DCF CARES inspection 2025-09-24. View official inspection document (report 179c7fe6-9d4e-4dc0-acb4-b471c29ff2dd)
