The facility failed to maintain a temperature between 65 degrees and 82 degrees Fahrenheit at all times. CCF Handbook, Section 3.3.3, A Comments: Licensing Specialists observed classrooms downstairs warm. Licensing Specialist measured temperature in classrooms and measurements were between 83 and 84 degrees in classrooms. Corrected prior to uploading. Technical assistance was provided regarding maintaining adequate temperatures in classrooms and should not exceed 80 degrees. The facility is housed in a church. The Church admin spoke with licensing Specialists and stated the A/C is working on it however a part was ordered but has not yet arrived. Licensing Specialists informed Director and Church admin that due to not being able to maintain adequate temperatures the facility will need to close until repairs or temporary alternative is provided. Provider emailed parents informing them about A/C repairs and temporary closure until repairs are or a temporary alternative for cooling classrooms can be provided. On 05/01/2026, Licensing Specialist received an email from provider with photos of temporary window unit with temperature gages installed in each classroom until repairs are made. 15. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the childcare industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department- approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department- approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination.
