CCF Handbook, Section 3.9.1, B Food and Nutrition [SR] Comments: While monitoring the kitchen, licensing specialist observed childcare personnel not wearing a hair covering while preparing food. Per DCF CCF Handbook section 3.9.1: :B. Child care personnel, while working in the food preparation area, must wear proper head covering, such as a hair net or hat. To prevent contact with ready to- eat foods, child care personnel must use clean disposable gloves, utensils, or similar items in the food preparation area. The vehicle had missing, broken or non-operable seat belts and/or safety restraints. CCF Handbook, Section 2.5.5 General Requirements [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist observed one seat belt broken on each vehicle, two broken seat belts in all. Bus #184 has a broken seat belt in the seat directly behind the driver in the spot next to the aisle. Bus #162 has a broken seat belt in the second seat behind the driver in the spot next to the window. Provider taped signs in the two spots stating no children can sit there. Provider will have the seat belts will be fixed by March 3rd, 2025. Per DCF CCF Handbook section 2.5.5: Each child, when transported, must be seated in a back seat in an individual factory installed seat belt or federally approved child safety restraint.
