26U — Staffing

Staff member observed not using positive behavior supports. A licensee shall ensure that all staff use prevention strategies, appropriate redirection rather than restraint, and positive developmentally-appropriate methods of behavior supports for children, which encourage self-control, self direction, positive self-esteem, social responsibility, and cooperation. Staff member was terminated, and OCCL was sent the termination letter.

A licensee shall ensure that all staff use prevention strategies, appropriate redirection rather than restraint, and positive developmentally appropriate methods of behavior supports for children, which encourage self-control, self-direction, positive self-esteem, social responsibility, and cooperation. The incident was self-reported by the administrator. Staff member was seen on camera spraying children with a spray bottle. Staff member was terminated.
