This standard was found deficient as part of a DFPS Investigation. Based on information obtained during a DFPS investigation, it was found that the caregiver used prohibited punishments against a 3-year-old child with special needs. The caregiver grabbed and yanked the child and slammed the child onto the chair. Then, the caregiver hit the child?s side of his face and squeezed the child?s cheeks forcefully as she talked closely to his face. Then, the caregiver grabbed the child again and took him to the bathroom, where the video camera could not see. The operation terminated this caregiver once the operation viewed the video.
