Through a DFPS investigation, it was found that a caregiver was yelling at children for discipline.

746.1205(a)(5) - Responsibilities of Caregivers - Intervene to ensure each child's safety

Two children were putting objects on and in a child's clothing. The caregiver was not aware it was occurring and did not intervene.

746.307(b)(4) - Parental Communication - Situation that Placed a Child at Risk

A possible situation of child-on-child touching was brought to the operations attention, and the operation did not provide an incident report within 48 hours.

746.801(11) - Required Records Maintained and Made Available - Fire Inspection Report, Including Written Approval for Above/Below Ground Level Care

The month of November was missing a fire drill documentation. This was corrected at inspection when the childcare center completed a fire drill during inspection.

746.5001(1) - Swimming Pools - Lifesaving Devices

The operation had one life saving device. One more is needed.

746.5401 - Requirement of Gas Leak Inspection

A gas leak test was completed, however, documentation has not been received and available for review.

746.1325(b) - Documented annual training - Specific to water safety

All caregivers and director need water safety training.

745.641 - AP Background check results - Must receive notification prior to allowing subject to be present at your operation

There was one caregiver present without an active background check. This was corrected at inspection when the caregiver was sent home.
