747.3501 - Safety - Areas Free From Hazards

There were cleaning supplies, suncreens, and other items that are to be kept out of reach of children that could be accessed by children in care in the restroom. The outside deck area that is had broken fence pickets and opening that pose a hazard to children as the children can fit through the gaps.

747.4301(b) - Chairs - Safety Straps Used if Required by Manufacturer

Two children were observed sitting on high chairs and were not strapped in.

747.4607(a) - Measurement of Use Zone for Swings - in Front and Rear

The use zone for the swings was not the required 15 feet as it was 11 feet from another play equipment.

747.3219 - Water Temperature

The hot water temperature in the sinks used by children exceeded more than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

747.3705(a) - Animals at Home - No Contact with Chickens, Ducks, Reptiles

Chickens were observed freely roaming in the play area while children were outside playing and were not in a secure area that the children would not have contact with.

One child file was not available for review at inspection.

747.4401(10) - Handrails on Stairs and Steps of Climbing Equipment

There was no handrail observed on stairs steps that require a handrail as the door that had the handrail was observed that it was broken.

747.5005(1) - Fire Drill Monthly - Exit in 3 Minutes

The last fire drill that was practiced and documented was July/August 2024 and it is required to be practiced and documented monthly and must be exit time of 3 minutes or less.

747.801(2) - Records Maintained and Made Available - Infant Feeding Instructions

Infant feeding instructions were not available for review for an infant that is in care.

747.2315(b) - AP Cribs - Only Snug Fitting Sheet and Crib Mattress Cover Allowed if Infant Younger than 12 Months of Age

An infant that is younger than 12 months of age was observed sleeping in crib swaddled and with an extra blanket in the crib,
