Infant under 15 months was observed asleep with bottle in crib at time of inspection. This was corrected when bottle was removed from crib by caregiver.

Two children were observed to be in timeout longer than allowed by age, which is one minute per year of age. The children were under 3 years old and were in timeout for more than 5 minutes.

Caregiver did not show self-control when punching a classroom wall while children were present.

Four out of ten caregiver records did not have current first aid training available to review at time of inspection. Corrected at inspection when all four caregivers completed first aid training.

Infant under 12 months old was observed during inspection in high chair without use of safety straps. This was corrected at inspection when safety straps were fastened.

746.2805(3) - Prohibited Punishments - Grabbing and Pulling

This standard was found deficient during a DFPS investigation when a caregiver grabbed and pulled three different children. One child was grabbed by the arm and dragged approx. 5 feet. One child was aggressively grabbed and pulled by the arm to a sit-down position. One child was yanked up to a standing position.

This standard was found deficient during a DFPS investigation when a caregiver yelled and used profanity towards a child in an aggressive manner.

This standard was found deficient as part of a DFPS Investigation.

746.1613(a) - Reduction of child/caregiver naptime ratio by 50% allowed, If 13 or more children in care, children are 18 mo. or older and other standards met

Classroom was observed with 10 children ranging in ages from 16 months to 21 months with one caregiver. Corrected at inspection when second caregiver was added to classroom.
