It was observed that a metal piece of equipment had paint that was chipping exposing metal that rust can cause injuries and exposures to harmful materials.

746.2803(4) - Discipline - Positive Methods of Discipline and Guidance

This standard was investigated as part of an investigation and found to be in non-compliance. It was discovered that a caregiver did not use a positive interaction when redirecting a child's behavior by grabbing a child's face to speak to the child at eye level.

746.3415(4) - Employee Handwashing After Diapering a Child

It was observed that a staff after changing a diaper did not wash their hands.

746.3505(e) - Diapering Procedures - Sanitizing Diaper Changing Area

It was observed that after a staff had changed a diaper they did not sanitize the diaper changing area.

746.3407 - Maintenance of Building, Grounds and Equipment

It was observed during the walkthrough that there was equipment of the playground that was broken, toys in several classrooms that were broken, chipping paint on equipment and walls in classrooms. There was also in several classrooms that are in need of cleaning of rugs and flooring along with toys in several classrooms that appeared to be dirty.

It was observed that after a child's diaper was changed the child did not wash their hands.
